Once I started to get back into my spiritual journey around 5 years ago I had crystals but I didn’t really know what to do with them. I just thought they were there to leave on the side bring me some good energy and that was it really. I was more focused on my meditation.

I had them around me whilst I meditated but really I didn’t know much about how they worked or what ones to use.

It wasn’t until I started to get more into my journey that I started to research about how magical they can actually be.

I always suggest when you want a crystal you visit a shop and you pick one you are attracted to at that time. Crystals will come to you or set off an energy attracting you to them when the time is right for that particular one.

For an example, I have a sacred place where my crystals live and sometimes in the morning I am just drawn to a certain one. I can’t explain the feeling but its almost like a gut feeling to go and pick it up. Some days I am not attracted to any at all, some days I will choose a particular one to have with me that I know will help me with something I am doing that day.

Once I started to learn more about them through google, books, shops and through personal experiences I have had with particular crystals I began to realise the importance of cleansing them. Trust me, it is VITAL you cleanse them.

I always explain to people, crystals are like little pets, they are alive, they are energy, they are magic! They need looking after and attention just as much as a pet does. They need to live in the right place, they need to be washed (cleansed) and in return they love to help you.

So this brings me to HOW exactly do you do this!

1: Research on where your crystals like to live in your home.

2: Research what your crystals are for and what are they are here to help you with. All crystals differ.

3: Find a sacred place / space in your home where you can go to relax if you need some time out. You can place your crystals on here. This will give you that boost we all need every now and then.

4: Talk to them! Say thank you to your crystals for helping you, for giving you their energy. The universe hears your gratitude and after all crystals are all naturally formed from earth.

5: Cleanse your crystals. This restores your crystal to its natural state. Its just like us having a shower or taking your dog to the groomer!

I highly recommend a book called ‘Crystal bliss’ by Devi Brown. Its a great way to learn about crystals and its a really lovely book to read and enjoy as it is not too heavy. It also has a gorgeous pleasing cover so looks great on show too.

So more to the point, how do you cleanse them? …

When it comes to cleansing your crystals I personally find that burning sage is the best way. Once you have the above you can start to cleanse your crystals. A full moon is really good too, you can sage then leave your crystals out in the full moon for that extra energy. However a full moon is not essential.

RANDOM FACT: FYI if you wear diamonds or gem stones in your jewellery, rings, watch etc. These are also crystals and hold energy so I do recommend cleansing them regularly too.

 

STEP BY STEP

1: Light a candle and thank the universe for fire.

2: Find a SAFE place and away from children to burn the sage over the flame along with the crystal(s) you want to cleanse.You will start to see the sage smoke. It should not be on fire for more than a few seconds. All you need is the sage stick to be gently smoking. If you have trouble with keeping it smoking blow on the sage and this should do the trick.

3: Once you are happy with this you can now start! All you need to do is hold up the crystal and allow the smoke to hit the crystal. Turn the crystal around so the smoke covers  all of its surface area. I usually say a mantra to cleanse my crystals in my head or sometimes out loud.

I simply say “I cleanse this crystal of any negative energy, negative entities and bring only love, light,peace,  happiness and positivity.”

You may feel like you want to say something else or nothing at all. Maybe this crystal served you a great purpose, so you may want to thank it. I always go with my inner gut feelings at the time.

4: Once you have done this you can stub out the sage in the shell. Please make sure it is out so you don’t cause any fire hazards!

Place your crystals back in their desired living areas and thats them happy and refreshed!

Hi! So most of you know me from Instagram @grac13_uk.

I started getting a lot of questions on my DM about the types of meditation I do.

My brand connects with summer, holidays, having fun, living life and feeling good about yourself. Thats why I design so you guys can feel and look great. So therefore, I want to share this with you, to guide you into a happier mind set for your spring and summer. Especially for those of you who don't get much time off so your summer holiday is extra important to you and you want to be the best possible version of yourself.

Now a lot of people will find meditation hard because you can't "switch off" or you can't find the time. Yet you want to start somewhere right? Or even just give it a go?

So I discovered a really easy time effective way to meditate. I started this on my own with no guidance about 4 years ago. I still do it once a week. However I am now years deep into my journey so I do other types of meditation and energy work.

This stuff doesn't just happen over night, so don't put yourself down if you don't get it first time round. It takes time, patience and most of all commitment. Not just commitment to the activities to better your soul but commitment to YOURSELF which inevitably reflects on your self love.

For some people this cleansing meditation will be more than enough when you do it daily and you might be happy with that. For others you may decide eventually you want to continue your journey and do more, there is no right or wrong, there is no judgement here.

I am a firm believer (in the words of Kyle Grey) that even if you just TRY every day to to connect with yourself  the universe will recognise your attempts and for this you will benefit.

Now, I do hear a lot of people say taking a cold shower in the morning is good for you and it should be part of your moring ritual. But if your anything like me, WHO THE HELL wants to wake up dreading having to be cold in the shower!!! NOT ME!

I want to start my day on a positive note and enjoy my morning , enjoy that ten minutes I have to just be on my own, no kids, no phone, no pets, just me before I go to work in warm water. So thats what I do! I love a nice hot bath or shower in the morning to boost my morning.

Now I personally have baths but this works in the shower too, especially if you are pushed for time. You don't have to do this in the morning, If you take a bath or a shower at night then thats totally fine too.

Anyway, I am really new to this so best crack on... but I mainly wanted to share this with you especially linked to my work because I know the pressure of work life, social life, personal life and social media life can be really hard to compress and cope with sometimes.

I hope this helps you like it did me and gives you that little boost you need each day to feel alive, because after all we are here to LIVE AND BE ALIVE and most of all be HAPPY 🙂

 

 

STEP 1: Light your candle in a safe place

STEP 2 FOR BATH: Pop some epsom salt in the bath and then being to fill it up to your required temperate.

STEP 2 FOR SHOWER: Turn your shower on to your required temperature

STEP 3: FOR BATH: Get in your bath and just relax for a moment let the water hit you and take three slow controlled deep breaths to release all tension until you sink into your body.

STEP 3 FOR SHOWER: Get in your shower and let the water fall over your body and take three slow controlled deep breaths to release all tension until you sink into your body.

I want you to say this mantra out loud or in your head for the next steps

" I am letting go of all the negativity and releasing it from this part of my body"

As you say this mantra I want you to imagine a black tar leaving that part of your body, being washed away by the water around you or falling on to you.

You might get overwhelmed the fist time you do it. If you get to a part of your body that needs more time then take the time on that part, if you feel like crying because your letting go, cry. Its all part of the process. I cry all the time when I do this, because when you start to do it you can feel the energy in certain areas of your body so it can be emotional.

Remember the mantra and the visualisation is very important for each step whilst keeping your breathing at a nice  controlled pace.

STEP 4 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Take your shampoo and wash your hair, as you are rubbing your shampoo into your head imagine you are rubbing away that black tar from your head. As you wash away the foam say the MANTRA and imagine the black tar washing down the drain leaving your head feeling light and almost empty.

STEP 5 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Take your face wash and repeat the same thing on your face and neck.

STEP 6 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Take your shower gel and move to your chest and heart area.You want to create space in your heart, you might feel its acing, this will help you release them toxic energies. Repeat the same thing.

STEP 7 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Move onto your arms start at the top and repeat the same thing pushing the foamy shower gel from the top of your arm to your finger tips repeating the same thing.

STEP 8 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Move onto your stomach where your anxiety lies , we want to release the knots. So massage your shower gel and then push from the middle out repeating the same thing until you feel light and almost empty.

Were almost there... keep going!

STEP 9 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Move onto your bum and repeat the same thing from the middle out.

STEP 1O FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Move to your legs, similar to how you pushed the black tar energy out of your arms, do the same from the top of your legs to the tips of your toes.

STEP 11 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Take 3 deep breaths and imagine your whole body is just light and almost empty ,you have now gotten rid of that negative black tar that was stuck inside your body creating blocks, so WELL DONE!

STEP 12 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: SMILE, and just let the water hit you / surround you.

We now go onto our second mantra.

"May my body mind and soul be filled with this golden light of positivity".

STEP 13 FOR BATH AND SHOWER: Take your conditioner and condition your hair give yourself a nice head massage, feel the relaxation of your body and how light you are. Imagine that conditioner is a bright gold light of positivity that has being massaged into your head and as you wash it out imagine it leading all the way down, through your face, your neck and back, your heart and chest, down your arms to the tips of your fingers, filling your whole body up with a soft golden magical light, as it passes through your stomach,lower back, bum, thighs all the way to the tips of your toes.

Now wiggle your toes and fingers and imagine your whole body filled with this amazing energy.

Dry off obviously!!

" Thank you for the water and the fire, air, earth and spirit, thank you universe" then blow out your candle.
